Embroidered Boiled-Wool Jacket
Very pretty & useful..
Nice color--(misty morn), PERFECT fit (5 ft. 1", 118 lb.) Did not have to shorten sleeves nor even roll them up! Lighter weight than most boiled wool I have had, and I had to trim off several loose threads-- hence the "4" rating for quality..

I love Appleseed's boiled wool jackets and was eager to add this one to my collection. In the picture it looks lovely, and the misty morning color is just what I was looking for. I was so-o-o disappointed at the poor quality of this item. The fabric is flimsy and doesn't even look like wool, the edges are serged instead of hemmed, and the color of the thread doesn't even match the rest of the garment. Even at half price, it was a poor value. Back it goes!

Even though both the grey and the misty morn are lovely colors, even though the jacket style fits well, and even though the embroidery is attractive, the scratchy, itchy, irritating wool rules out all the advantages.
Too bad these are not lined. I tried them on with a long-sleeved blouse and still could not stand the discomfort. Most disappointing-- I liked everything else about them.

Beautiful color, disappointed in finishing work.
I was disappointed in the finshing of the plackets in this jacket. They were serged instead of turned under. It's too casual a look for this jacket.

Beautiful jacket with special detailing.
I have worn this for two special occasions thus far and received an unbelievable number of compliments. I also got a matching sweater and it makes an elegant outfit
