Classic 5-Pocket Jeans
Fits Very Well If You're Not a Bean Poll
I've been frustrated for years every time I need a pair of jeans because when trying them on, they're clearly meant for young adults/women with absolutely no hips. Additionally, I always have gobs of waist sticking out in the back - a men's jeans trait. My favorite jean company is now out of business, so I thought I'd try these sale item jeans. They fit my femals shape perfectly. However! Though I indicated on the smaller end size-wise, I did so because they skimped on the zipper to save $$: it is quite short. Though the waist height is traditional, the zipper height/length is not. If my hips were a tic larger, I would not be able to get these jeans on. However, I am able to just get them on and love the purple ones I purchsed along with the caramel. They hug my body nicely in all the right places.

Poor quality fabric
I did not like the fabric. It felt and looked as if most of the color would wash away.

color not as represented in catalog.....
but overall okay. Was disappointed that the two other colors that I really wanted and was able to order, were then declared out of stock....So I ended up w/ only one pair, and the color I wanted the least...

Classic 5-Pocket Jeans in Plum
Very nice quality and the color plum is very pretty, very understated, not too bright.

Not the same
My old A12843 jeans are my favorites, so (fearing they might be discontinued) I ordered 2 more when I saw them on sale. I was disappointed to see that they are not the same, The new jeans are 1 inch shorter in the rise; the zipper is an inch shorter; the waistband interfacing is denim rather the soft cotton print; and the denim fabric is stiff even after laundering. I will keep them because they still fit well but I will be looking for a new "favorite" jeans.

Product has gotten skimpy
I have several pair of these jeans bought in the past that were perfect.
They needed to be replaced. How very dismayed I am to find that, like everything else, corners have been cut that have made these jeans much less desirable. The pockets are not as deep, the back waist is about an inch shorter, and the zipper is only about 4" long. To compensate for the short zipper, it seems that the waist is much larger to allow for sliding over the hips. (As a result, I could overlap the waist by at least an inch.) This results in the waistband and top front sticking out in front, giving a very unflattering profile.
Now the dilemma; do I hope they will go back to the original pattern and order more in the future (and how would I know if they did?) or just assume they are going to get more and more skimpy and never order any more ever again?

A qualified recommendation
I live in jeans so when I can find them in colors I grab them. I like the color of these jeans but find the fabric to be stiff and the fit just a smidgen large for a size 10. However, I've only washed them once and the fabric may soften, and my weight tends to vary by three or four pounds; so I've kept them for when I've over-indulged on desserts. I got them on sale at a good price.

these jeans run small in both length and rise. I am usually a petite 12.
28" length always are a good length for me. These were a couple inches shorter than that. The rise was too short even for a petite.
