Mandarin Collar Boiled-Wool Coat
Disappointed; previous jacket purchases better.
This is my 3rd Mandarin Collar Boiled Wool Jacket I purchased. All in the same size.
The 1st I was very satisfied with. The second; not as good but was satisfactory. This latest purchase while I am keeping it, I was disappointed with it. The quality of the fabric is not as good as the other two and the cut is skimpy. Also I prefer the metal buttons to the plastic ones.

Like the length and button detail
This is a great looking coat...fits well, very good value! In fact, a friend rushed home to order one just like it when I wore it to a lunch meeting with her!

Attractive addition to any wardrobe
A good buy on sale. Overpriced for quality at original price. It looks well on and overall I am pleased, although the wool is somewhat scratchy, not the softness i expect from boiled wool items.

Ideal for mild winter weather
I love this coat. The fit was perfect (XLP), and very flattering. It was good to find a coat where the sleeves sat at the shoulder line and did not need shortening. The fabric was dense and heavy, so it is a good weight for our milder winter weather here in the Pacific NW. It is long enough to cover my behind and works equally well with skirts and pants. I like the chocolate color and wish it was available in other lighter shades. Highly recommended.

This makes a great extra layer, indoors or out. The side slits and soft fabric provide comfort and easy movement. Cuffs can be rolled back for a perfect sleeve-length fit.

boiled wool coat
this coat is attractive and warm. It is a bit scratchy around the neck and the weave tends to catch a bit. I have only worn it twice so I don't know how well it will wear. Pretty true to size.

This product was immediately returned
I bought two of these coats two years ago and loved them, even taking one to Alaska on vacation. After losing weight, I bought another this year and sent it right back. Not only was it shorter than the previous version, but it was MUCH lighter weight and the size ran small. I was so disappointed with the quality of this coat and would buy several if I could find the same item from two years ago. This might be acceptable for a spring coat, but not a winter coat as used to be available.

High quality jacket
This is a high-quality boiled wool jacket, pretty shade of red, a little subdued, but not a brilliant red-red. The red color looks sort of reddish/plum on the computer, so that is not accurate. The best thing about this jacket for Plus Size women is that is 31 inches long, so it looks much better on women carrying extra weight who want the backside covered. Unfortunately, not many Plus Size women's Appleseed's jackets come in 30 or 31 or 32 inches long, which means I cannot order most of those jackets even though I love the style and fabric and colors. I wish they would have more of a "variety" of jacket lengths so Plus Size women could choose something that looks best on them. A woman carrying 240 pounds/ size 2X cannot wear a 28 inch or shorter jacket with the behind hanging out displayed and look acceptable. This is a matter of taste.
