how wide is it at the hem?

BEST ANSWER: I need to revise my answer. I measured across the inside, bottom of the XL and got 25-1/2". Doubled to get 51" circumference.

I measured it across the bottom of the front of the shirt and it is 24" across, so all the way around, it would be 48"
