I returned the sweater however; I was disappointed in the light weight and the pointelle weave which made it a bit transparent and for my age, better with a cami underneath. May 22, 2015

Is the black sweater "see-thru" at the perforation to allow natural skin color to show? Is a cami necessary?

BEST ANSWER: Hi -- Only where the fabric is pulled a little tighter (though not TIGHT), like shoulder and bosom. I don't think a cami is necessary; however, for my black top, I am going to buy a black bra. Really, I'm being overly-modest! It's a GREAT top!

You can see tiny dots of skin through the perforations, not enough that you need to wear a cami, but you do need to consider the color of your bra.

Yes, it shows your skin you do need a cami. It is a beautiful sweater I have gotten a lot of complements when I wear it. I hope this helps.
