What type of fabric is this? Cotton?

BEST ANSWER: Yes, this shell is COTTON! It's very comfortable and for summer, I predict it should be ideally cool to wear. However, I must say it is rather a heavier knit than you might expect. I would even classify it as dressier because it looks more like a sweater. I have a couple campshirts that I matched them with, and use them as a little short sleeve jacket that I simply wear open, over the shell.
