I would rather a light blue tank underneath, but that is my choice. I wore this outfit last Saturday with white slacks to go out to dinner, and really enjoyed it. August 5, 2015

What color blue is the tee underneath?

BEST ANSWER: It is periwinkle. It doesn't make any difference because the top has 2-3 shades of blue with the little white specs. You could even wear white which I am doing tonight, with white capris. You could almost wear a navy under this top. You will get so, so many compliments. I love the combination.

It is a periwinkle blue, however, you have to order it separately. The tunic does not come with the tee underneath. You could use other colors but I selected the blue tank top that is seen in the photo from Appleseeds. Love this top and have received many compliments!

I ordered the brown and since the Tee does not come with it, I did not match as perfectly as I hoped I would. However, I still very much like the cover and I am working on a better match especially since I received so many complements on it.

The tee does not come with the tunic but as I recall it gives you a page number in the catalog where you can find one to match. I received many compliments on the tunic.

I think I bought the periwinkle tee. I believe any shade of true blue would work unless you want a real contrast. I do love the tunic. Very flattering and cool.
