I putting my makeup in one compartment and the wallet, etc., in the larger compartment. I don't use the zipper. The purse is deep enough so that I don't worry about anything falling out. Are there compartments inside the bag? What kind?

BEST ANSWER: Along the edge of the flap, there is a zipper that opens into a large space at the back of the bag. That's one compartment. Then when you flip up the flap (as you would any normal purse to get into the main compartment) it opens into to second space. There are 2 cloth pockets, made of the same fabric as the lining. One would fit an iPhone 4 ( but not the 6) I wouldn't say the pockets were sturdy, they are more like cloth deviders. The cloth is bright pink.
The strap is PLENTY long enough to go cross body, and I'm a size 16, large busted woman.

Zippered (back) section is one large compartment. The snapped/front section has two small pouches (cell phone, keys, coins, glasses), one zippered pocket and the remainder is open.
