I ordered the wine colored( close to a purplish hue), which was great being all shades purple are my signature color, in a size small. I was first amazed at how quick I received it. The packaging was done with such care, along with a sturdy coat hanger, with a plastic covering. The craftsmanship was or is beautiful. I am very hard to shop for because I have my own style and do not like wearing or having the same waredrobe as others and this jacket has just that bit of nuance and beauty that makes this jacket different from the generic quilted jackets I have seen. It is form fitting and I like that it had a warm liner, because even in the cold months, the heat is usually turned up in the mall, etc. and I end up taking my coat off any way. Still, in the cold weather I like to wear my silk, poly blend and light cotton blouses with leggings or skirts. This jacket IS the perfect jacket for me. It meets all my criteria, being a seamstress myself, I could find no flaws. I do not think I could have dreamed up this nice of a jacket if I had the chance. I bought it at a discount and I was not expecting much, but was I wrong! This is the first jacket I have purchased in over 25 years because I am so picky and am hard to please. Thank-you Appleseeds, I can not wait to wear this beautiful diamond in the rough this fall, winter and early spring.

Rated 5 out of 5 by JannaMP Great jacket for a terrific price.
The jacket is fitted, since I ordered a small size. The color is rich and it appears to be well made. I am very pleased especially with the jacket being washable and the hood detachable.

Petite medium fit perfectly, even around hips. Sleeves fit me fine. I got the blue, love it. The hood is lined with a lush velour that is really pretty. In fact, I leave the hood on even if I don't need it because it is so pretty! Was hoping to get one for my daughter, but none left in her size. I like the double layered front, gives you more options. Seaming is very flattering. Incredible buy on sale! More than enough warmth for Houston!

I am petite-5'2, 100 lbs and I have a terrible time finding outerwear that actually fits, especially the sleeves.
This is NOT expedition weight, I have plenty of Michelin Man coats for the below zero days. THIS is a nicely tailored coat with plenty of warmth and the colors are elegant-I have already purchased the tan, as well as the the black and I'm back to pick up the blue.
A real bargain, I would buy it at twice the price and feel I had gotten a deal.

This coat is a beautiful shade of blue. With two zippers, one for the inside quilted lining and another for the outside, you feel bundled up and ready for the cold.

I think this jacket is great. Got it in the blue, which is a rich jewel tone blue bordering on green. As another reviewer mentioned, it is a slim fit especially in the arms, which is fine as I selected S-Petite. True to size! Sometimes I like a Medium for more layering options, but this is a good option for wearing a warm fine knit sweater underneath that doesn't add too much bulk. I would also call it "medium weight."
One more thing, more of a personal preference than a criticism - The high bib collar is cute and keeps the neck warm but adds a bit more bulk around the shoulders when not zipped. I would have liked that there had been something on each side to pin it back as a lapel. You can't beat the price!

I was very pleasantly surprised by the quality and comfort of this microsuede jacket. I purchased a medium and it fits perfectly. This was a great buy and I look forward to wearing it frequently here in Vermont.
