Rated 1 out of 5�by Humm Bi-Stretch Side Zip Pants This pair of pants had been in previous catalogues and when the price dropped, I pounced as I had a new grey sweater that I thought would look nice with them. However, the pants were advertised as having elastic in the waist with a zipper. I ordered a Large as my hips fall between a 44 and 45. However, when I tried the pants on the top of the zipper did not even meet so that you could zip them up. On closer look there was elastic, but not elastic that gives very much. I took every sewing course I could in college, even though I had a different major as I liked to sew. I have always found that Appleseed is usually very direct in their description on the clothes that they sell. Sometimes you hit a time when articles do not fit. But this time I think you were not clear enough on the type of elastic that was in the waist band. Some elastic will give a lot and then there are others that hardly give at all.. The garment was heavier than I wanted and Spandex would be better than Lycra in the material. It appeared that the manufacturer did not practice quality control. The pants did not fit your selling description. They did not fit well. December 15, 2013
