Rated 5 out of 5�by Nowbama Red Hepburn Vest I bought this for the holidays but it has been to warm to actually wear it so this review will not be a hands on opinion. The knit feels like quality and the size look accurate. I got this for an excellent price and I bought it one size larger to wear over blouses that take up a little more room. This is a common practice for me in cardigans and I hope I find the fit on this vest is as comfortable and looks as good. December 27, 2015

The knit is thin (not as in "light" but as in "low quality"), the color a bit dull and greyed-out, and it hangs poorly even on the hanger - looks even worse on me! Perhaps this is because I'm a bit busty and it would look better on someone with a smaller bust? I got it on super-sale so won't be sending it back but giving it to a friend. If I had paid full price I would definitely have sent it back for both fit and quality. May 27, 2015

Rated 4 out of 5�by LeopardJan Running small I ordered the sapphire color in this vest-beautiful shade! I recommend sizing up on this vest if you are wearing anything at all under it! The material allows just about every bunched up area of shirt under it to show through. That is why I advise to size up one from your normal size to get the look as pictured on the model. I like the placing of the "V" on the neckline. February 6, 2015

what is the fabric?

BEST ANSWER: The fabric is a very thin acrylic. I should have ordered the next size up. It is a fabric like you find in
cardigan sweater sets. Its very nice depending what you wear underneath the vest.

to answer about the fabric of hepburn vest: 57% silk...21% cotton and 19% nylon.
i own several, worn them, washed them, for a few yrs now. keeps shape. i love them.

Nylon and rayon. Lovely feel. Looks really expensive. Fits like it should, order your true size. I got the red and black.

The fabric is a synthetic which is very smooth and silky to the touch. This sweater isn't at all bulky.

How does the fold at the waist happen?

BEST ANSWER: I ordered this vest in a M and it was too long for me, so returned it. The fold at the waist is the sweater when it is pulled up a bit and drapes over the ribbing at the hemline. I can't think of any other reason it would appear as a fold.

You make it fold. The sweater is long so the ribbing hits at the hips and the excess causes the folding. It's a nice piece but I returned it because I didn't like the extra bulk there. It would look best on a tall thin person.
