Two things could be improved: the wool is itchy, so will only be comfortable over a long-sleeved garment. Also the dyed-to-match buttons aren't as classic as the metal ones in the photograph. Rated 5 out of 5�by Peonies Great jacket! I loved these jackets. Had to give all mine away as I lost a lot of weight, so am replacing my boiled wool jackets. I bought the black and wish they had a true red. I also bought another boiled wool jacket in the purple. The buttons are no longer the pretty metal ones; they have replaced the buttons on these jackets with regular dyed to match ones. Bring back the metal ones please! October 13, 2014

Rated 5 out of 5�by DogMom2three A cold weather standard PLEASE NEVER DROP THESE ITEMS. I have loved wearing the boiled wool sweater/jackets since I was a child, and nothing is as comfortable! I try to buy one or two. Somehow these items keep migrating from my closet to that of nieces or my daughter. Since getting older I really like the front buttoning to cool off without getting chilled or to keep warm as the case may be. Both my grandmothers and my mother were on to something, years before it was fashionable. October 5, 2014

Rated 2 out of 5�by Quacky Nice style, good fit, too scratchy. It was disappointing to have to return this sweater. I liked the style and fit and think it would have been a very practical sweater. However the material was just too scratchy for me. I ordered a medium which fit well. I would say it runs true to size. I have been disappointed with the quality of fabric in a number of items purchased from Appleseed's. However I do love the variety of colors and the styles. September 25, 2014
