Does this coat have a lining?

BEST ANSWER: no it does't but it doesn't need one. This is my favorite
Jacket! It fits like a dream. It is warm yet light weight and extremely comfortable.

it did not have lining. I returned because it had to much swing for me, way too much bulk than I wanted

What does the back of the jacket look like?

BEST ANSWER: It has a pleat starting at the waist and gradually widening to the hem. Above the start of the pleat is a 6 inch
by 2 inch tab made of the same fabric as the jacket. At both ends of the tab are black buttons like the ones on
the front. It is an attractive jacket..

has a fold in the middle which opens up almost at half lenght, at that point a tab with 2 buttons attached

because of the swing style, should I order down a size?

BEST ANSWER: I love, love, love this jacket ( in fact I have ordered two - black and teal). I ordered my usual size (large) and it fits really well in the shoulders and sleeve area. I would not recommend going down a size. My only complaint is that I wish it had pockets.

Because of the inverted back pleat the jacket does run large. I did order one size smaller and after receiving the jacket, I liked it so much I ordered the identical jacket in another color!

I normally wear an 8 to 10 and ordered a medium. It is meant to be loose-fitting around waist and hips but not around arms and shoulders so I would not go down a size.

I'm happy buying my usual size but I don't like my clothes too tight. There is some extra in the hip area but that's what gives it the "swing".

No, the size is perfect. I just wish the jacket had a pocket. It isn't lined, so having a pocket is impossible.

what is the length of jacket?

BEST ANSWER: I got this email yesterday and didn't know the length, so I am wearing it today. I took it off as soon as I got to the office and measured the length of the center line right down the back. I measures 24" from the neck to the bottom! I really like this jacket. I didn't need the "swing" so I stitched the back seam up by hand. Looks good to me! Elizabeth

The length is fine, hip length. The problem is the fabric, very thin with no body. I was very disappointed and returned the jacket.
