Is it a loose fit? Do the sleeves fit snug or is there room for a shirt underneath?

BEST ANSWER: Oh, this is a lovely sweater and, yes, you can put a shirt underneath. The shirt does need to be "close-fitting" but the sweater itself calls for close-fitting as it needs to be the focal point of your wardrobe.

I gave it to my sister as a gift and she wears it with a long sleeve gray striped knit shirt underneath. It looks like it fits fine- she doesn't do the belt. It's a cute sweater.
