does this sweater run true to size?

BEST ANSWER: I felt it ran a little small. I can usually wear a small, but returned the small for a medium and the medium fit much better. I hope this helps.

I have about 20 of these sweaters, and the ones I checked were 80%cotton, 17% nylon, and 3% spandex.
I love these sweaters year-round because they are stylish, hold their shape, come in varied colors and wash well. I highly recommend them!

Can your Hepburn sweaters be dried in the dryer?

BEST ANSWER: I dry mine in the dryer sometimes with no problem but prefer to hang them on a drying rack or flat to ensure that they don't shrink a bit and to preserve the depth of color.

What is the content of the fabric? Is it a cotton mix or polyester etc.?

BEST ANSWER: feels like a very fine cotton knit--more sweater texture, though light, rather than a t shirt knit. Washes nicely in washer, I prefer to dry flat, but that is not necessary. Love the sweater as it is a little more stylish and oh so comfy.

80% rayon 20% nylon. DO wash on gentle cycle as instructed or hand wash as the integrity of the fabric seems to be somewhat delicate.

After washing, size L measures 25" from the shoulder at the neckline to the bottom, or 20" plus the 5" band at the bottom. Because I am short, and my hips are wider than my shoulders, I generally like a shorter sweater, and this sweater works well for me, because you can "shorten" it by placing the band above the hipline.

what REALLY is the fabric - not 'feel like' but what IS the fabric composition?

BEST ANSWER: My periwinkle Hepburn recently purchased from Appleseeds was 82% rayon; 16% nylon; and 2% spandex. The goal was probably a dressy fabric, but mine pilled right away and looks old. Hope they try a different blend. Just purchased the 80%cotton/20%nylon version from the sister company. May prefer this, but won't know for sure until I wash it. The style is fabulous. I wear M or L, and in both fabrics the L fits best.
